THE BACKGROUND FROM SOPHIE + CHRIS

I took my time looking for the right venue... a year to be exact! I knew I definitely wanted to get married in Italy and luckily Chris liked the idea too. I came across Casa Bruciata on Instagram but thought it would be way out of our budget, until one day someone I have on Instagram shared a story and I recognised the pool from the venue. She was a guest at the venue attending a wedding and she praised it highly. I took it as a sign and booked our wedding the next day!
The colour scheme for the wedding is very simple - we didn’t want to take away from the Italian countryside so it is mainly whites and greens to blend in and flow. My dress is from Made With Love in Manchester and Chris’s suit is from Whitfield & Ward. The best men, Louie and our fathers are in full tux suits (also from Whitfield & Ward).We wanted classic and timeless vibes. Freya is my only bridesmaid and she is wearing a champagne colour dress.
Our rings are from Austen & Blake. Chris has chosen a platinum band and I have a gold band with small diamonds around it. I also plan to wear earrings, a necklace and a bracelet all from Lily & Roo.
STORY
Chris and I met through an MSN group chat that we both got added into (cringe) and text as friends for around 9 years before spending more time together and then becoming a couple. We have known each other for 17 years.
Chris is a HV electrical fitter and I look after a little princess called Bobbie.
Chris enjoys going to the gym and I just try to survive each day (I don’t really have interests, how boring)!
We just enjoy the simple things in life... our perfect day together would be going for a long walk in the sun with maybe a beer garden at the end or spending days out with the kids.
HONEYMOON
We are travelling to Lake Como on the Monday night after the wedding... by night train! We chose it because we would choose Italy for a honeymoon destination anyway because I think it’s a very romantic place... so we thought why not travel straight there (with no kids woo!).
I think we will of course enjoy the wedding, however on the honeymoon I know we will relax properly and have time to reflect and take it all in! We’re looking forward to spending some quality time together.
MOST EXCITED ABOUT
PROPOSAL
I am most excited about marrying Chris spending time together with everyone we love the most and making unforgettable memories!
Whilst visiting my brother in Canada we spent a few days at a lake house and while Chris and I were out on a canoe Chris proposed. He got down on one knee in the canoe (it was very rocky) and caught me completely by surprise. I was so shocked I didn’t know what was going on and Chris was so excited to give me to ring he forgot to ask the question for a good few minutes!
FILM
We chose you because you’re the best of course! We don’t have to worry or stress about how our film will turn out, we have seen how you work first hand and we love absolutely all of the snippets of other weddings that you post on your social media! It feels very easy with you and we know you will absolutely smash it! I will 1000% cry because I cry now even just thinking about watching our wedding video! I cry watching other peoples that you post! Chris may shed a tear too he often mentions how excited he is to watch it afterwards!
EXPERIENCE
Our Casa Bruciata wedding will be timeless, classic and old money vibes. Some simple water colour lemons on stationary and white and green flowers to flow with the Italian countryside! We will have white tableware - super simple.
There will be two flower pillars at the end of the aisle with white petals down the middle of the aisle. Simple gypsophila down the centre of tables for the meal.
We just want our guests to relax and have a good time!! There will be a sit down meal followed by an aperitif in the gardens. Dessert will be served on the cake cutting table in the evening and we are also doing a champagne tower!

Wowzas! I genuinely mean this when I say your wedding was absolute perfection. From start to finish, it was an utter joy to capture, and you two truly smashed it. This is one of those days I honestly wish we could relive all over again. Since we can’t, I hope this film takes you right back into every moment.
