a CHURCH FARM wedding |

VENUE

We are getting married at Church Farm in Thurstaston in a tipi. Alec one day drove past the farm as it is very local to our house and saw the tops of the tipis set up for a wedding there and was intrigued. When looking for wedding venues we contacted Church Farm and when we found out they only do a maximum of 10 weddings per year, plus we didn’t know anybody that had got married there yet and we loved that. When we visited the farm, the views from the field over to the beach really sold it to us... they were amazing, and Steve the owner of the farm was so passionate about the weddings he had held there. Having a lot of open outdoor space was a big selling point as we have an energetic 5 year old who loves to run around! Steve also will take the guests on a tractor ride and Albi was desperate for that so we chose here.

We have a singer as people arrive then after the ceremony and an acoustic band. After food we have a magician coming before a DJ, saxophone and bongos in the evening. We also have an Airstreamer Photobooth in the evening.

ATTIRE + ACCESSORIES

Our wedding rings have been made by the same jeweller who made my engagement ring as we felt it was very fitting. Jewellery as of yet hasn’t been decided apart from the earrings I will be wearing were a 21st birthday gift from my grandparents, they have a blue diamond in as my something blue.

All bridesmaids will be wearing black long dresses, bridesmaids with gypsophila bouquets and maid of honour with a single Cala lily. The groomsman are wearing the same black tuxedo as Alec.

The meal will be decorated black and white, with lots of white gypsophelia flowers and candles. White and black chiffon runners on the tables which are a mixture of rectangle and circular tables. There will be ribbon place names with lots of lighting around the tipis.

STORY

We met in high school 16 years ago, bought our first house and moved in together in 2017. In 2019 we welcomed our little boy Albi and we live together in our second house with our cockapoo dog Nellie!

Alec is a manager of a local estate agents and I am a private nanny for a local family, I also have a home salon where I do lashes and nails. Our favourite kind of day is chilled with Albi, we love dog walks, playing games as a family and going out for dinner! We also love to have evenings with our friends and visiting family on a weekend. Our biggest interest is going on holiday (haha)!

HONEYMOON

We haven’t booked our honeymoon yet as I think my head will of fallen off planning a wedding and a honeymoon! But we will be going to the Maldives in 2026.

PROPOSAL

MOST EXCITED ABOUT

Alec proposed whilst on holiday in Paris. Alec, Albi and I visited the Eiffel Tower one evening to see the it light up, at 7pm Albi gave me the ring “off daddy” in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Having all the people we love together in the same place!

EXPERIENCE

FILM

The wedding has a black and white theme, and all guests have a black or black and white dress code so everybody looks neat in pictures. I have two dresses, a long one for the day and short one for the evening and Alec is wearing a black tuxedo. My shoes were the first buy we ever got, they are from Jimmy Choo as it’s the only day I’ll ever be allowed them.

We would love the guests to have fun and really enjoy the day, I would hate guests to be bored standing around. We are having a BBQ served to tables for the daytime food and the Pancake Hut for dessert, and Mr Chows food truck in the evening.

We really wanted something to watch back with Albi as he gets older as he loves watching videos of himself now as a baby. I think it will feel surreal watching it back and will be a lovely memory to have.

Tash and Alec, thank you so much for having me there to capture your incredible day, and what a setting it was! From start to finish, I don’t think I stopped laughing with you both. You were an absolute dream to work with, and I hope you love reliving every moment through your films as much as I loved creating them.

I’m so glad I stayed that little bit longer to catch the Pink Pony Club antics! I’ll forever think of you two whenever I hear that song...

Love to you both.
