ATTIRE + ACCESSORIES
The wedding dress is elegant, traditional features whilst being modern. With the short time frame we've had to plan, this was the first shop I'd been in but the last dress I tried on and it was perfect! I love the pearl buttons that go right down the back to the very end of the train. Dan is going for a double breasted tuxedo in a very dark navy.
My wedding ring is a diamond eternity ring in rose gold that matches my engagement ring, from the same jewellers Dan bought it from. It's so sparkly! Dan has designed and made his ring based on his dads wedding ring. This is a gold cladder style ring which he has always loved and appreciates what it symbolises. I also plan to wear my great grandmothers (my nans mum) diamond ring. This is my something old but something I've always loved from being a little girl and has been passed down to me. I know my nan will really appreciate this as well.
We have 3 flower girls (our nieces) who are in pink and our boys will be walking with them in navy matching Dan. Dan has two best men who will also be wearing tuxedos, although it's not as formally planned with this being a last minute wedding!
We both appreciate architecture and have always loved how Liverpool is home to some of the most beautiful buildings in a style we wished was everywhere! We love the Georgian architecture of the Town Hall for our ceremony and then the Municipal...we fell in love as soon as we walked in! We love the renaissance style of the building and the feeling of being transported back into that elegant era. The decor almost feels art deco, we love that great gastby feeling for our Liverpool city wedding!
STORY
We met at university in 2012 - I had stayed in Liverpool but moved into halls and Dan had moved to Liverpool never having visited before. At random, we ended up in the same flat and soon had common ground in our unique sense of humour. We became best friends and the rest is history!
We are both Quantity Surveyors within the housing sector. We love our family more than anything and our two boys are our world. As much as we enjoyed our adventures in our younger days, our perfect day now would be spent with them in the home we've created. That is our biggest achievement.
MOST EXCITED ABOUT
PROPOSAL
Being surrounded by our loved ones to celebrate us as a couple and having our boys by our sides. It's been a long time coming and we've had a few ups and downs along the way as everyone does, so to have this joyous ending to the year means more to us both than anybody probably realises.
Dan proposed on New Years Day 2020 in New York. In the March before, Dan had told me we were going to New York over Christmas/New Year as part of my birthday present. I had absolutely no idea, we'd been to a rooftop event for NYE and cycled around central park the next day. Dan had said we were staying somewhere different that night and going for a meal. We arrived at a penthouse with a glass roof looking over NYC and Dan proposed!

EXPERIENCE
FILM
Colour scheme for flowers and decor is white. We wanted to keep things timeless without over doing anything. These are mostly made up of white roses. The room for our wedding meal etc is quite detailed in itself with panelling and chandeliers so we didn't want anything clashing.
We want our guests to feel relaxed and the day to flow. We don't want it to feel too structured or formal. The guests are our family and closest friends so we want it to feel intimate and special but with a laid back approach. We are putting on drinks at the town hall after the ceremony to break the day up, more drinks on arrival to the hotel along with canapes. We then have a 3 course meal and more drinks! There will be a pianist playing in the town hall and live music in the evening.
After meeting you at another wedding venue we'd looked at, we were instantly drawn to your work and you as a person. We chatted like we'd already met and that's how we knew you'd make us feel comfortable capturing our day. Your work speaks for itself, we love the style which we feel fits our wedding - timeless, classic whilst still being unique. We know that watching this back will bring back all the emotions of the day. We want our children and grandchildren to watch this and feel these emotions too which we know your work will do. This is something we'll cherish forever and it was really important to choose the right person to capture our day. We're so happy this is you!
special thanks...

Olivia and Dan, thank you both for being an absolute dream to work with. Your classic Liverpool city wedding was a joy to capture, timeless, elegant and filled with so much love. From the stunning architecture and details to the warmth between you both (and your boys), every part of the day felt so meaningful. Knowing your story began in Liverpool made it all the more special. It was a real honour to capture these memories for you, and I hope your film lets you relive every emotion for years to come.
