a SHRUBBERY HOTEL WEDDING |

THE BACKGROUND FROM CHLOE + LUKE

VENUE

ATTIRE + ACCESSORIES

The Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster is a great local venue back in our home county of Somerset. We wanted a low-key event, especially hassle free. With everything taking place at the one venue including accommodation , The Shrubbery Hotel was perfect for our wedding. We have also had previous events there, for example my mums 60th and its a perfect location for both sides of the family and those traveling from afar.

Colour theme for the wedding is black and white. My suit (picked up from Moss Bro's) will be all black, black waist coat with a white shirt and a black bow tie. All the groomsmen will look in similar suits just without a waist coat. Bridesmaids are also in black.

Chloe has lots of ear piercings - not sure how many she'll have in on the day. She likes a lot of jewellery, bracelets etc.. whilst I'm the opposite - the wedding ring will be the only thing I'll wear - I struggle with Apple Watches!

The colour scheme for the wedding breakfast is also black and white. We've not gone mad with flowers, mainly just on the tables. The current plan is to have the wedding outside which will bring lots of natural green.

STORY

We met in our college days 2009, got together and have been together ever since. My job working as a Senior Performance Analyst at Manchester United can takes up a lot of my time and attention. When I can, it's nice to switch off and have family time. We have a soon to be three year old daughter 'Lovelle', so everything is about quality family time together when I am not working.

HONEYMOON

We have no major plans. I have the whole of June off so we will do lots of little holidays and trips as a small family to make the most of the time off.

PROPOSAL

MOST EXCITED ABOUT

I proposed during covid lockdown, on Chloe's birthday. I did a "surprise" meal to give her a special birthday in the middle of an ominous period. I cooked her favourite meal, hunters chicken with a nice desert and had some specially selected music playing. I spent hours decorating the living room with some wall art, lights and confetti before popping the question.

We are most excited about the joy of the day and making memories.

FILM

EXPERIENCE

I trust Rob's levels of professionalism, dedication to his craft and most importantly his commitment to do every detail to the very best of his ability. The video is something we can keep forever - we can relive it over and over with Lovelle and future children to plant the idea of their special day one day.

Describing our perfect Shrubbery Hotel wedding in three words, it would be Togetherness, Family and Joy... to feel together, everyone enjoying themselves & making memories. We don't get to see family and friends very often so it will be nice to get everyone together for a special day. There will be a two-course meal followed by a DJ to get everyone on the dance floor.

special thanks...

a note from me...

Chloe and Luke, thank you for the privilege of filming your big day. It was so nice to capture the wedding of someone I know so well... and truly an honour to meet all of your special family and friends. Lovelle was a superstar! I hope you love reliving your big day now, and in the future with any additions to the Lazenby fam 😉

Make sure to stay in touch guys! 'It's been emotional'.

Rob x
