ARLEY | RACHEL + TARAS
A ST MARY AND ALL SAINTS CHURCH | ARLEY HALL AND GARDENS WEDDING
Having moved to the area around five years ago, Rachel and Taras fell in love with Arley Hall due to their mutual love of history and architecture. The intimate setting, along with the beautiful and unique features and characteristics make not only the perfect wedding setting, but also every wedding videographer’s dream. Just around the corner from Arley, in the tiny Cheshire village of Great Budworth, lies St Mary and All Saints Church, a memorable place for Rachel and Taras as they reminisce on long, snowy winter walks; the natural choice for the bride to walk down the aisle to her groom.
Rachel’s exquisite wedding dress hung elegantly above a window in anticipation for the day ahead. The atmosphere during bridal and groom preparations was complete calmness as everyone went about their business. Despite a slight issue with Rachel’s earrings, everything went methodically to plan… we shall leave that one there! Taras concluded his preparations in the library, a room full of knowledge and tales with floor to ceiling books and novels.
Rachel and Taras created a warm, welcoming atmosphere in which everyone would feel the joy of a colourful day. Their selected hellebores, one of the first flowers to bloom, added colour, life and warmth to the celebration. Following Rachel’s breath-taking entrance to the wedding ceremony, two beautiful readings were delivered followed by the newlyweds embracing their family and friends in celebration and dodging an artillery of confetti on the way to their classic Roll Royce escort.
Guests from across the world arrived back to the Great Hall to take in it’s character and beauty, alcohol and canapes provided sustenance before a traditional wedding breakfast was served in the evening.
Conversations rang through the air and friendships were forged over a common connection to the couple. Five immaculately dressed children played happily and were a credit to their families; it was a pleasure capturing the way they interacted with each other and the love that they clearly have for Auntie Rachel.
The wedding reception was full of happiness, laughter and fun, in an enchanted candle lit room. Heart-felt speeches were concluded by the Eugene, the Father of the Groom introducing the art of toasting in Ukrainian, a family tradition whereby the couple would introduce all guests into the Olympia evening venue with a shot of Dima, Ukraine’s finest Three Grain Vodka.
Rachel and Taras embraced each other lovingly and with complete confidence during the first dance, with all the guests eagerly filling the dance floor when invited to enjoy the captivating sounds of the Pedal Tones band under a sea of white light illumination. The wedding party was in full swing with beautiful white shapes dancing in the darkness.
Rachel and Taras, thank you for choosing me to capture the special memories of your day. Your lovely nature, and the day was defined by calmness, sophistication and love. It was an absolute privilege to be there with you and I hope you enjoy reliving your beautiful films as much as I have enjoyed making them.
Budmo!
